It was one of our lowest scoring finals and it was the results from 2 of the 7 games that made the difference.

Both players successfully predicted a home win for Chelsea's Women against Manchester City Women but only Michael correctly predicted the outcome of Millwall v Stoke. None of them predicted the results from the matches featuring Liverpool, men or women, Manchester United Women, Bolton, Stockport, Bournemouth, Brentford, RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich or League Cup Winners Newcastle. Who saw that League Cup result coming?

The League Cup is the second piece of silverware to be claimed this season and Michael will see his trophy arrive in the post in the coming days.

"I am very happy being the 'WWE HEEL' of it all. Of course I won. Nobody can beat me. If you have this it makes people want to get involved and beat me."

Next season the 2026 League Cup will be a 1 round competition, most likely to be played when the next Carabao Cup Final rolls around.
